Artist's Inspiration

This image was taken in the early days of the Puddle Reflections collection. Its style mimics an impressionist painting. Back then, I was still developing my technique for taking reflection photos. This one helped me learn how to use the textures underneath the water along with the reflection itself to create more emotion in my work.

I quickly found that the right combination of these elements adds surrealism to my photos. The trees and their colorful leaves are the only subjects in this shot, yet there’s so much more going on in it than that.
