Ripples Through the Palm Tree Sky

I took this photo mid-autumn 2016 while walking around my neighborhood. It was a concept I’d experimented with more than a year and a half earlier when I began shooting this series. It was an attempt to create a normal sky scene in which the waves or ripples distorted the viewer’s idea of what they thought they were looking at. I think the execution and composition in this shot show how much the series has continued to grow and improve over time.
