Artist's Inspiration

Normally, I don’t like to shoot in the rain. There are a few reasons, but mainly because it distorts the reflection on the surface of the water. Here I made an exception to capture a rare copper-colored sunset. This image was taken at the same site used in Ripples Through the Palm Tree Sky and Two Palm Trees. The distortion from the rain creates texture on the water’s surface that blurs the perception between a photo and a painting.
